Ana Mancera Rueda

Ana Mancera Rueda is a Professor of Spanish Language at the Department of Spanish Language, Linguistics and Theory of Literature at the University of Seville. She has published six monographs and thirty articles and book chapters on the study of colloquial Spanish and the relationship between oral and written language, both in literary language and the media. One of her most outstanding publications is La opinión pública en la red. Análisis pragmático de la voz de los ciudadanos (Madrid/Frankfurt, Iberoamericana/Vervuert, 2020, in collaboration with Ana Pano Alamán). She is participating in the project “El humor interaccional en español. Géneros orales, escritos y tecnológicos” (HUMORACTION) PID2019-107265GB-I00 (MICIN, AEI) from the GRIALE research group. Furthermore, she is part of the IHDEA research group at the University of Seville, dedicated to Research in Digital Humanities and Spanish of the Americas. In this field, she has developed her research focusing on online discourse and especially on interactions in social networks and digital newspapers.
