Anastasia Khaylina is a doctoral candidate in the Philosophy and Arts doctorate programme: Linguistic Studies at the University of Alicante. She graduated in English Studies and completed a Master’s degree in English and Spanish for Specific Purposes at the University of Alicante. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis on verbal humour in Spanish under the supervision of Dr. Mª Belén Alvarado Ortega. Moreover, she is participating as a Predoctoral researcher in training in a project from the GRIALE research group entitled PROMETEO/2021/079 “Etiquetaje pragmático para un observatorio de la identidad de mujeres y hombres a través del humor. La plataforma OBSERVAHUMOR.COM” (OBSERVAHUMOR.COM) of the Instituto Interuniversitario de Lenguas Modernas Aplicadas (IULMA).
