Carmen Marimón Llorca is full professor of the Spanish Language at the Department of Spanish Philology, General Linguistics and Theory of Literature at the University of Alicante. Her most outstanding lines of research are teaching Spanish as a foreign language or studying linguistic attitudes in the newspaper columns on language. She is a member of the GRIALE and IULMA research groups (University Institute of Modern and Applied Languages) as well as the international research group on Ideologies on language, CIRCULA, based at the University of Augsburg since 2012.
